The Bologna Center Journal of International Affairs is an academic journal founded in 1997. It is published by the Bologna Center of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. The journal provides a forum for the discussion and the dissemination of ideas about current and past events in the field of international relations. The journal does not have a focus area, but seeks to present a policy-focused perspective on global affairs that can be appreciated by academics, students, and policy-makers alike. Articles are intended for an educated yet diverse audience, so highly technical language and equations are discouraged. The journal is edited by graduate students and has attracted work from important academics and policy-makers. The journal is published annually in May. Circulation is 400 plus and the average length of an issue is 196 pages.
